On this guided tour, you will discover Zurich’s impressive, centuries-old and famous churches as well as some of the city’s best-known bars and their history.

Kurzbesichtigung der Kirchen Fraumünster, Grossmünster, St. Peter, Wasserkirche und Besuch/Aussenbesichtigung folgender Bars: Odeon, Kronenhalle,  Storchen und Bodega.
Sie erfahren, wie Zürich gegründet wurde, was Karl der Grosse mit Zürich zu tun hat, welchen entscheidenden Einfluss Zwingli und die Reformation immer noch haben und welche bedeutende Rolle die Äbtissin Katharina von Zimmern dabei spielte. Unter anderem erleben Sie die Wirkung der Chagall-Fenster im Fraumünster und begeben sich auf den Kreuzgang im Grossmünster. Sie besuchen die legendären Bars und erfahren Spannendes über deren Geschichte und die illustren Gäste.
Dauer: ca. 3 Stunden.
Besammlung: Lindenhof beim Brunnen
Kosten: Fr. 64.- pro Person bei max. 6 Personen, inkl. Eintritte.
Die Getränke in den Bars sind frei wählbar und gehen auf eigene Kosten.

On this guided tour, you will discover Zurich’s impressive, centuries-old and famous churches as well as some of the city’s best-known bars and their history. The tour includes short visits to the churches of Fraumünster, Grossmünster, St. Peter’s Church, and the Wasserkirche, as well as visits to/exterior views of the following bars: Odeon, Kronenhalle, Storchen, and Bodega.
You will learn how Zurich was founded, what Charlemagne had to do with the city, the lasting influence of Zwingli and the Reformation, and the important role played by Abbess Katharina von Zimmern. Among other highlights, you will experience the impact of the Chagall windows in the Fraumünster and walk through the cloister of the Grossmünster. You will also visit/take a look at the legendary bars and hear fascinating stories about their history and illustrious guests.
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Meeting point: Lindenhof Square, by the fountain
Price: CHF 64 per person (based on 6 participants), including entrance fees.
Drinks in the bars are freely selectable and are at participants’ own expense.
