Stein am Rhein – A Day of Wine, Culture and Lake Constance Scenery
Enjoy a guided day excursion combining a scenic boat cruise, regional wines, and cultural discoveries in the charming medieval town of Stein am Rhein. Experience the beauty of the lake and river landscape and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of one of Switzerland’s most picturesque historic towns, renowned for its beautifully painted façades, the former Benedictine Monastery of St. George, and the idyllic Werd Island.

The programme includes a wine tasting at Florin Wein and lunch at the Kunstschür, located directly on the banks of the Rhine. Weather permitting, lunch is served in the garden among original sculptures by renowned sculptor Peter Lenk, best known for creating the famous Imperia statue in Constance.

Rebspaziergang mit Weindegustation - Genuss am Bodensee

Erlebe einen genussvollen Spaziergang entlang des Bodensees, durch den Park und die Reben am Arenenberg in Ermatingen am Bodensee. Wine Guide und Food Historian Karin Peter begleitet dich mit spannenden Geschichten zu Wein, Landschaft und Kultur.

Wir treffen uns im Vinorama Museum in Ermatingen. Auf einem Spaziergang entlang des Sees sowie durch den Park und die Reben am Arenenberg – heute Landwirtschaftsschule des Kantons Thurgau und Napoleonmuseum – erfährst du vor einzigartiger Kulisse Spannendes und Historisches über Reben, Obst, prägende Ereignisse und bedeutende Persönlichkeiten.

Zurück im Vinorama erwartet dich im stimmungsvollen Gewölbekeller verschiedene Thurgauer Weine sowie Apéroteller mit regionalen Spezialitäten. Während der Degustation erfährst du mehr über Hermann Müller aus dem Thurgau und lernst die neuesten Trends im Thurgauer Weinbau kennen.

Inbegriffen sind eine geführte Wanderung, eine Weindegustation mit fünf Thurgauer Weinen sowie ein Apéroteller mit regionalen Produkten.

Enjoy a guided wine walk through the beautiful vineyards and parkland surrounding Arenenberg, followed by a tasting of regional wines and an aperitif featuring local specialties.

This leisurely walk offers stunning views of Lake Constance and an opportunity to learn about the region’s wine-growing traditions while exploring one of the most picturesque landscapes in Thurgau.

The experience concludes with a tasting of selected Thurgau wines accompanied by regional products. The wine tasting takes place in the atmospheric vaulted cellar of the Vinorama Museum in Ermatingen.

Waldfondue mit Weindegustation / Outdoor cheese fondue and tasting of local wines

Waldfondue mit Weindegustation / Cheese fondue in the woods, and wine-tasting

Nach einem etwa 10-minütigen Spaziergang durch den Wald erreichen Sie die Waldhütte, wo Sie draussen am offenen Feuer ein typisches Schweizer Käsefondue essen und Bodensee-Weine verkosten werden. Die Fonduemischung wird in der Dorfkäserei Koch hergestellt, unter anderem mit ihrem "Gold-Tilsiter" (Gewinner Gold an den Swiss Cheese Awards 2018).

A ten minute walk through the forest takes you to the hut in the woods and the open logfire where you enjoy an outdoor Swiss cheese fondue. The cheese blend is made by local cheesemakers - the Koch family - and includes their 'Gold' Tilsiter variety (winner of Gold medal at the Swiss Cheese Awards 2018).
