Über mich:
Ich, Karin Peter, bin im Thurgau auf einem Landwirtschaftsbetrieb aufgewachsen, habe Übersetzen und Dolmetschen in Zürich und Edinburg, Schottland, studiert, und vor rund zehn Jahren den Master of Advanced Studies in Applied History an der Universität Zürich mit meiner Masterarbeit zum Thema "Die Hungersnot von 1817 im Kanton Thurgau" abgeschlossen.
Von 1994 bis ca. 2018 war ich als Übersetzerin/Dolmetscherin tätig und beschäftigte mehrere Mitarbeitende. Seit 2018 konzentriere ich mich ganz auf Themen und Aktivitäten im Bereich Food History und Wein. Ich organisiere Anlässe und Touren für Firmen und Private.
About me:
I am a native of Thurgau, grew up on a farm, studied translation and interpreting in Zurich, Switzerland, and Edinburgh, Scotland, and about ten years ago also did a degree in history. I graduated with a master’s degree and wrote my thesis on “The Famine of 1817 in the Canton of Thurgau.”
From 1994 until around 2018, I worked as a translator and interpreter and employed several staff members. Since 2018, I have focused entirely on topics and activities in the fields of food history and wine. I organize events and tours for both corporate and private clients.
